The great Mississippi River has a life of its own and as you know, the weather in Minnesota can be very unpredictable. Due to the extremely wet spring we’ve experienced and the high water levels, we’ve decided to reschedule the Annual Mississippi Riverboat Clean-up. The current conditions create an unsafe situation due to the increased river speed and muddy areas along river shoreline.
Get outside and help restore the shores of the mighty Mississippi this June!
Join Conservation Corps at the 28th Annual Mississippi Riverboat Clean-up! Take a beautiful ride on the historic Jonathan Padelford riverboat, learn a bit about Mississippi River history and wildlife, and help keep our river clean. Volunteers will be transported by boat to sites along the Mississippi shoreline to pick up trash and will be treated to lunch on the riverboat. This event is part of our Twin Cities Urban Waters Project event series.
Work gloves will be provided. Rubber boots recommended.
UPDATE: We have reached capacity for the event since space is limited on the riverboat. Please register below to be added to our waitlist.
We have several other clean-ups taking place throughout the spring and summer. Take a look at some of our other upcoming clean-up events.
Thank you to our sponsors!
This annual cleanup is an Adopt-a-River event, a program of Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa.
