Increasing Diversity in Environmental Careers (IDEC)
Fellowship, Mentorship, & Internship Program
The Increasing Diversity in Environmental Careers (IDEC) program provides a unique opportunity for underrepresented STEM college students, specifically woman, racial and ethnic minorities, or individual with disabilities to develop a career path through a fellowship, mentorship, and internship program during their academic journey.
The IDEC program consists of three parts:
Fellowship: The fellowship provides individuals with a supportive community and professional development opportunities. During the academic school year, fellows receive a yearly stipend and meet as a cohort once a month.
Mentorship: Fellows are connected with professionals in the field who can share their experiences and support them throughout the program journey.
Internship: The internship, which runs from May to August, allows fellows to have paid on-the-job experience and learn more about environmental/natural resources career paths.
The deadline to submit applications is at 4pm (Central) on July 26, 2019 or until cohort is full.
