Carrie Danner, Member Experience Coordinator
Funny. Adventurous. Dislikes-describing-herself-in-three-words.
Carrie is responsible for implementing aspects of AmeriCorps member management and works closely with program staff to support members during service. What she noticed and loved right away about the Corps was how passionate staff are about the organization’s mission.
Carrie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and therefore is known in the office for her willingness to tell it like it is and hatred of Minnesota winters, which she insists are 1,200 times worse than Chicago winters. Prior to joining the Corps, Carrie spent two years in Washington, D.C. attending the George Washington University and working for The Student Conservation Association. She then decided she’d had enough of the east coast and got a degree in Environmental Studies from Knox College in Galesburg, IL. Outside of work, she enjoys reading three books at a time, scouring Netflix for something she hasn’t already watched and tricking her friends into going to weird events in the Twin Cities that she finds out about through the internet.
