Goal-oriented. Genuine. Goofy.
As the Administrative Assistant, Teresa welcomes visitors and field staff to headquarters, assists with bookkeeping for the finance department, provides administrative support to all headquarters staff, manages the office supply inventory, and acts in the official capacity of the office’s primary fire marshal.
She is a Summer Youth Corps (SYC) alum, having served as a crew leader in 2014 and 2015 and as the Logistics Coordinator in 2017.
Teresa has a B.A. in Sociology, emphasizing Urban Studies, from the College of Wooster in Ohio. This past summer, she organized paperwork and reported on work accomplished as the SYC program's Logistics Coordinator; she also has previous experience as an administrative assistant for her college's Office of Interfaith Campus Ministries.
Teresa moved to Saint Paul two years ago and has since cultivated a rich network of Twin Cities nonprofits, working to promote greater access for youth to outdoor careers and college resources with Wilderness Inquiry, the U.S. Forest Service, and College Possible. Her favorite thing about working with the Corps is supporting the confidence and comradery that crew members develop while working outdoors.
Outside of work, Teresa continues to enjoy being outside. She bike commutes across the cities in search of free community art projects, donuts, and social justice lectures.
