The Minnesota Conservation Corps (MCC) is recruiting a Head Cook and an Assistant Cook for its residential youth conservation program located at St. Croix State Park, near Hinckley, MN.
A Head Cook is needed to manage a food service operation that serves 100 people over 250 meals per day. The Head Cook is responsible for menu planning, ordering food and supplies, food preparation, maintaining health and sanitation standards for food service operations, following nutritional guidelines, and supervision of an Assistant Cook.
The Assistant Cook is responsible for food preparation, maintaining health and sanitation standards, picking up food and supplies from local vendors, maintaining food storage and dining hall areas, and supervision of kitchen help.
LOCATION: St. Croix Stat Park, Hinckley, MN.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: I am encouraging anyone who is up to the challenge to apply!
- Institutional cooking experience such as schools, hospitals, or other camps
- Training in health and sanitation standards for food service operations
- Experience menu planning and food ordering
- Experience preparing ethnic and vegetarian entrees
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: May 22 to August 15, 2008 (dates are flexible)
BENEFITS: Salary is dependent on experience. Free room and board will be provided.
