The Minnesota Conservation Corps (MCC) is recruiting Interpreters and individuals skilled at American Sign Language for its summer residential work program at St. Croix State Park near Hinckley, MN.

All participants are exposed to deaf culture as well as basic instruction in American Sign Language.  The integration of deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing participants promotes learning about others and crossing cultural and communication barriers.  We are looking for experienced and responsible individuals to supervise and work with high school aged youth on conservation work projects.  Applicants should have experience camping, enjoy working and living in an outdoor setting, and willingness to work with tools.  

Positions Available: Crew Leader-Interpreter, Assistant Crew Leader-Interpreter, Assistant Director-Head Interpreter

The Pay: up to $380 per week, based on skills assessment and position applying for.  An AmeriCorps Education Award of $2362.50. Staff will receive Wilderness First Aid certification.

Room & Board: Provided FREE of charge
