Iowa Field Coordinator
Altruistic. Passionate. Optimist.
Tyler manages fleet, equipment repairs, project management and coordination between crews and project hosts. He spends much of his time working with crews in Western Iowa while based out of the Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek, IA. Tyler served as a Corps crew member in 2014, crew leader in 2015 and Field Coordinator in our Northwest district.
Prior to joining the Conservation Corps, Tyler majored in Environmental Science and minored in Biology at Briar Cliff University. His favorite thing about working with the Corps is training new members and watching the progression throughout their service. He is also grateful to have the chance to enhance his own skills in prescribed fire, plant identification and chainsaw skills.
In Tyler’s own time, he is an avid hunter and fisherman. He finds it extremely exciting to see some of the great improvements Conservation Corps members have done to improve wildlife habitat in Iowa!
