Host a summer apprentice

Apply for the opportunity to mentor a young adult in a full-time summer apprenticeship at your SWCD.

The Conservation Apprenticeship Academy is a program of Conservation Corps Minnesota, in partnership with BWSR, MASWCD and AmeriCorps. This opportunity is funded through the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources, to train and mentor future conservation professionals by providing apprenticeship service opportunities to Soil and Water Conservation Districts in Minnesota.

Conservation Corps Minnesota is currently accepting applications for 2018 apprentice placements sites. Please review the following materials and resources to guide you through the application process.

Application Timeline (each year): 
October 15 - December 15: Application period
December 15: Application deadline
Late December: Award notices sent out to applicants
mid-May through mid-August: Apprentice service period
