Andrew is a high school environmental science and biology teacher at a Minneapolis alternative high school, focusing on experiential and STEM education. He has been guiding in the BWCA since 2003, and continues to lead camping trips with youth around Minnesota and other states. Andrew has strong passions in urban agriculture and food ethics, and is an avid gardener and whole-foods cook both at home and work. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Gustavus Adolphus College, studied field ecology with the School for International Training in Tanzania and received a master's degree in science education from the University of Minnesota.
