Youth lead volunteers at State Park

Youth Corps MemberSummer Youth Corps members and local volunteers cleaned up a beautiful section of St. Croix Valley in Afton State Park on Saturday, July 24. In the park’s beach and fishing pier area, about 20 youth and volunteers pulled plants, shrubs and small trees that had encroached on the rocky banks. In three hours the work was complete, opening a clear vista of the river for park visitors.
