Volunteers plant 1,000 trees in Como Park

On Saturday, May 1, Conservation Corps Youth Outdoors crews led 128 volunteers in planting more than 1,000 native trees in Como Park. This Arbor Month event was hosted by Saint Paul Parks and Recreation with funding from the Saint Paul Garden Club. The trees were planted along Hamline Avenue between Como and Canfield Avenues.

Corps alumnus paddling from Hutchinson to Manitoba

Rudy Goldstein, a Conservaton Corps alumnus, is kayaking from his Hutchinson, Minn. home on the Crow River to Hudson Bay. He launched the trip on Sunday, April 25 and will paddle 30 miles a day for the next three months, raising environmental awareness and donations for Conservation Corps Minnesota.
