2) Strengthening communities
3) Encouraging responsibility
4) Expanding opportunity

MCC in 1995

Youth In Natural Resources

The Youth In Natural Resources (YINR) program exists to introduce youth of color to career and educational opporutnities in resource management. The eight week summer program employs youth, both male and female from ages 16 to 19. The participants spend 40 hours per week learning about their cultural ties to the natural world, resource management issues and techniques, and various career options and corresponding educational requirements. The balance of each week is devoted to field work experience.
